What is 'public health'? Public health is about taking steps to stop people from getting ill in the first place by preventing disease and helping people to stay healthy and active for as long as possible.
There are five standards within the Public Health domain. The aim is to reduce the variation between practices so, no matter which GP practice you go to in Salford, you know your GP is doing things in the best way.
