NHS Salford CCG gains living wage accreditation

NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been accredited as a living wage employer by the Living Wage Foundation.

 

As part of the accreditation, the organisation -  which is made up of Salford GPs who, with support of other healthcare colleagues, decide how to spend the NHS budget on health services for Salford - has committed to pay both its direct employees and any third-party contracted staff at least the voluntary living wage rate of £8.75 an hour.

The new major trauma centre for Salford Royal will top the agenda at the next Salford CCG Citizen Panel Event.
 

Anyone living in Salford or who has a Salford GP is welcome to attend to give their views on health and social care, including discussions on the major trauma centre and what it should do as well as plans to keep adults safe from harm in Salford as part of the development of the new Safeguarding Policy.
