NHS Salford CCG rated one of the best in the country for third consecutive year

NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has once again been rated as one of the top CCGs in the country for the third consecutive year, following an annual assessment by NHS England.

 

The CCG is made up of GPs and other healthcare professionals who decide how to spend the local NHS budget to run the majority of health services for the people of Salford. Increasingly, the CCG is also working in partnership with Salford City Council on social care and improving wellbeing.

Salford social enterprise Unlimited Potential, wins Living Wage champion award for industry leadership

A Salford social enterprise has been announced as a winner in the Living Wage Champion Awards 2018 - and now aims to drive the city to become the country's first fully Living Wage health and social care system by 2021.

 

Unlimited Potential, whose work supports people to lead happier and healthier lives, won the Industry Leadership Award thanks to its dedication to promoting the real Living Wage through Salford’s Health and Wellbeing Board.

Community health projects urged to apply for funding

Local health and wellbeing projects are being invited to apply for grants from Salford Council for Voluntary Service’s (CVS) Wellbeing Fund.
 

The Wellbeing Fund, now in its fourth year, gives grants of up to £1,000 to small voluntary, community or social enterprise sector organisations, with less than £100,000 turnover per year, who provide projects which help to improve the health and wellbeing of Salford residents.
