Cancer patients in Salford to benefit from innovative exercise programme

CANCER patients are being helped back to full fitness with an innovative exercise referral programme being rolled out across Salford.

CAN-Move Salford is a collaboration between NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Salford Community Leisure, which introduces physical activity into the recovery of cancer patients and enables them to apply this into their long-term lifestyle moving forward.

Stay Well This Winter roadshow comes to Salford to help local residents prepare against the cold weather

The Stay Well This Winter roadshow is set to visit Salford on the 2nd and 3rd November to give local residents advice and tips on how to prepare against the cold weather and stay well over the colder months. The roadshow will be visiting Salford City Shopping Centre, Hankinson Way, Salford, M6 5JA from 9.00am to 17.00pm on each day.

New £5million development opens at Oaklands Hospital

Oaklands Hospital at Salford has opened its new £5m development which now enables it to treat more private and NHS patients. 

Providing the local NHS with capacity to provide more operations means waiting times can be reduced for all NHS patients. As well as insured and self funding patients, Oaklands Hospital is contracted by local NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups, including NHS Salford CCG, to deliver over 4000 NHS funded surgical treatments each year across a wide range of specialities - including joint replacements, general surgery and cataract surgery.
