Apply for the Innovation Fund 2018-19

NHS Salford CCG is pleased to announce the launch of three new funding opportunities within the 2018-19 Innovation Fund, with a total of £300,000 available.

Two specific Innovation Challenges will look to fund the testing and development of innovative new solutions to ‘wicked problems’ in the system. Additionally, a Workforce Innovation Call seeks applications for new products, services and practices that aim to improve the infrastructure, experience and outcomes of the Primary Care Workforce.

Innovation Challenge 1: New methods of training to equip health and social care staff with the practical skills needed for effective application of the Mental Capacity Act.

We are seeking innovators to:

  • Develop and pilot a new method for the delivery of Mental Capacity Act training, which provides trainees with enhanced, experiential learning through realistic and interactive decision-making scenarios.

  • We have a particular interest in applications that propose how technologies such as film, digital media and simulation could be utilised for a scalable and sustainable solution.

Innovation Challenge 2:  Who’s doing what, and where, in Primary Care? Developing systems to map current roles and model the future workforce.

We are seeking innovators to:

  • Develop and pilot an infrastructure for the measurement and mapping of workforce roles within Primary Care in Salford.
